We all
survived the move from California and are finally getting
settled in at our new home, Lim-Ber Farms here in Malin,
Oregon. Although
the weather has been quite an experience for a California
weather wimp, I’m enjoying the beautiful snow and learning
a lot about thinsulate, goose down and polar fleece.
The horses love it here and Haley is using the cold
weather as a good excuse to be silly.
Lim-Ber
Farms is a great facility with a large indoor arena that we
all appreciate when the snow falls.
There are indoor box stalls (including a double size
mare and foal stall), outdoor pipe paddocks with shelters
and lots of turn out, which my horses really enjoy.
They were not used to being turned out for most of
the day, and it has made a positive change in their
attitudes so I’m enjoying it too.
The arena footing is groomed regularly and there are
jumps available so Haley can have a break from her dressage
work. We can
also trail ride around the farm for a break from arena work.
As the ranch manager as well as resident trainer, I
am excited to be able to offer individualized care for each
boarder. Since all horses and owners are different, it’s
great to be able to offer personalized programs designed
especially for each one.
For a
limited time, I am offering a get acquainted special on
lessons and training. Full
training (including board) is only $600 per month and
lessons are $35 for an hour.
I will also waive any mileage fees for clinics within
a 50-mile radius of Malin.
Since this is for a limited time only, be sure to
take advantage! Haul-ins
are welcome with a $10 haul-in fee.
Although I
really miss all my wonderful friends and clients in
California, I love living here in Malin.
It’s a great town with everything we need,
including friendly, helpful people who are always willing to
answer questions and pass the time of day.
Klamath Falls is only ½ hour away and offers the
advantages of a big city with the atmosphere of a small
town. Best of
all, the commute is very easy:
hardly any traffic and direct enough that even
someone as directionally challenged as I am can’t get
lost.
I love
having visitors, so when you’re in the area give me a call
and stop by. The
coffee pot (or tea pot) is always on!. |
